CBD oil has an anti-aging effect. A recent clinical study proves a positive anti-aging effect of CBD oil in humans. The scientists monitored and analysed several anti-aging factors and compared them with the data of a placebo control group.
The effects of CBD oil are becoming an increasingly important issue. Science is becoming more and more interested in the non-psychoactive cannabinoid cannabidiol (CBD).
In recent years, studies have been able to prove numerous positive properties on humans. For example, it has an antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory, anxiety-relieving effect, but it also helps against nausea.
In cooperation with the National Institute of Health (NIH), scientists from the company PuHealthRX have now been able to prove a previously unknown effect of CBD oil. According to this, this clinical study proves that CBD oil also has an anti-aging effect in humans. The scientists write that the placebo-controlled study among 150 test persons showed that CBD oil has a significant effect on a number of anti-aging related factors.
Significant effect on anti-aging parameters
In their study, the scientists examined various inflammation markers as well as cardiovascular and metabolic indicators, while simultaneously monitoring restlessness and sleep - all factors that influence the aging process.
"We are very surprised that CBD oil showed such a strong effect on these anti-aging factors," says Matt Smith of PuHealthRX. "Inflammation and cardiovascular problems are part of the aging process. Because there has been a significant effect on so many of these factors, there is strong evidence that the endocannabinoid system plays an important role in the anti-aging process".
Amazing anti-aging effects
According to the scientists, the recently conducted study is the first non-pharmaceutical study to investigate not only the safety but also the efficacy of naturally occurring cannabinoids such as CBD.
Lack of standardization
Since 2014, the scientists have been working on methods to provide the naturally occurring cannabinoids. "Working with industrial hemp since the adoption of the Farm Bill in 2014 has provided us with a comprehensive understanding of the problems facing this market," says Smith.
"The inconsistencies, impurities and lack of standardisation, combined with the lack of clinical data, have created a lot of confusion among consumers who could really benefit from CBD products," Smith continues.
In the current study, the scientists investigated inflammation markers such as tumor necrosis factor alpha, interleukin 6, C-reactive protein and NF-κB. In addition, the cardiovascular and metabolic indicators HA1c, LDL/HDL and also the homocysteine level were measured regularly. A significant proof was provided by the fact that the HA1c level of the test persons decreased by about one point on average.
CBD as an over-the-counter natural remedy
While CBD oil is already much more widely used in the USA than in Europe, the new "Miracle Cure" only gradually also in Germany. Due to the numerous proven efficacy, not only physicians and therapists are enthusiastic about the applicability of CBD oil, but also more and more users.
